The objective of this research project with the collaboration between the company GTT and the University of Alcalá is the design of prototypes of road safety equipments. The prototypes will be able to automatically detect violations of traffic rules for drivers engaged in both urban as well as intercity routes.

Scientific Goals

  1. Develop modern equipment for traffic surveillance
  2. Ensure that monitoring equipment will improve the functionality of existing equipment.
  3. Develop a control system of red light violations.
  4. Develop a control system for both speed and red light violations.
  5. Investigate the feasibility and reliability for other traffic violations via computer vision based approaches.
